44 features
Frame-accurate timecoded comments
Comments are pinned to the exact frame — not "around 2:34 or
2:43".
Frame Pins
Point to a specific area on a frame, not just a timestamp.
Range Selection comments
Comment on a time range (IN/OUT) with automatic duration
display.
Comment editing
Edit your own comments after posting. Authors only.
Export comments — CSV, PDF & NLE XML
Take your feedback out of the app in the format you need. CSV
and PDF for reports. FCPXML for Final Cut Pro, xmeml for DaVinci
Resolve — markers land directly on your timeline.
Pause / Lock comments
Block new feedback while you're working on a new version. No
more stale notes landing on yesterday's cut.
Video versioning — V1, V2, V3…
All versions live on the same card. Switch between them with a
dropdown.
Batch upload + drag & drop
Upload multiple files at once, from the modal or by dropping
directly on the page. Per-file progress, cancel, and error
handling included.
Download permission toggle
You decide if clients can download. Off by default — protect
your work until you're paid.
Essential · Pro
Text watermark overlay
Custom text burns over the video on the client side.
Non-destructive.
Project password protection
Add a password to a review link before sharing. Optional per
project.
Wrap It — archive mode
When a project is done, archive it. Files and comments become
read-only. Clean slate.
RevTransfer — deliver the final cut
Send the approved master directly from the app. No WeTransfer
detour. Now also available as a standalone page — accessible
directly from the main nav via the paper plane icon.
Essential · Pro · Max
Audio-only uploads
WAV, MP3 and M4A — for music choices and audio notes.
Smooth streaming for large files
Range requests and a streaming proxy fix the iOS Safari freeze
on heavy files. Works across all devices.
Storage usage indicator
See how much of your plan's storage you're using at a glance.
Light / dark theme
Toggle across all pages. Persisted across sessions.
Copy existing share link
Grab the same link you already sent — without generating a new
one and invalidating the old.
Rename project or file
Edit the name of any project or video file directly from the
dashboard or project page.
GDPR-compliant workflow
Privacy is not a premium feature. It's the default. EU hosting,
no AI training on your content.
Trial expired modal — all 6 plans
The upgrade prompt now shows all six plans (Starter → Studio) in a 3×2 grid with Monthly/Yearly toggle, POPULAR badge on Pro, and BEST VALUE on Max. No more dead-end wall — just a clear path to subscribe.
Blacklist signup message
Users trying to sign up with a previously used email now see a clear inline message instead of a raw browser alert — with a direct link to the pricing page.
Manual status control
Click any video status to switch it instantly — Pending, Changes
Requested, or Approved. No page reload, no friction.
Accurate notification counter
Status updates (Approved, Changes Requested) no longer inflate
the comment count. The badge only reflects real comments.
Video thumbnails
Auto-generated at upload time from a canvas frame capture (from
the 5th second of the video). Displayed on video cards. Admins
can replace with a custom image.
Dashboard · Project
List / grid view toggle
Switch between compact list and visual grid on the project page.
Preference is saved across sessions.
Project
Sort & filter videos
Sort videos by date, name, size, or status. Filter by Pending,
Changes Requested, or Approved. Both controls live in the
toolbar — client-side, instant, no reload.
Project
Toolbar redesign
Unified 36px toolbar with icon-only buttons for Download and
Share, vertical separators between action groups, and consistent
light/dark theming throughout.
Project
Sort comments by timecode
Toggle the comment column between oldest-first and newest-first.
One click, no reload.
Review
Export comments to NLE — FCP XML & Resolve XML — BETA
Export your comments as FCPXML (Final Cut Pro) or xmeml (DaVinci
Resolve). Markers import directly onto the timeline with
timecodes and author names.
Review · Share
Audio file thumbnail
Audio-only uploads (MP3, WAV, M4A) now display the speaker
poster as their thumbnail on the project page. Admins can still
replace it with a custom image.
Project
Native framerate detection
Framerate is now read directly from the MP4/MOV binary at upload
— no external library. Reads timescale and sample delta from the
container's box structure, then snaps to the nearest standard
rate (23.976, 25, 29.97, 59.94…).
Upload
Accurate timecodes & NLE markers
Timecodes in review, frame navigation, and XML exports now use
the real source framerate stored in the database. A 59.94fps
file no longer shows 30fps timecodes.
Review · Export
Logo watermark
Upload your studio logo instead of plain text. Displayed
semi-transparently over the video — non-destructive, client-side
only. Text or logo selectable per account.
Essential · Pro
Upload a new version from the review page
Push V2 or V3 without leaving the review context. No more
switching back to the project dashboard mid-session.
Review
Video info display
Resolution, format, codec, bitrate and file size visible
alongside the video. Useful when downloading isn't allowed but
specs matter to the client.

Unread comment indicators
New comments from clients appear as a blue count on project and
video cards — no more scanning a flat list. Resets automatically
when you open the review.
Dashboard · Project
Timeline markers on the progress bar
Every comment places a pin icon on the seekbar at its exact
timecode. Click any marker to jump to that moment and highlight
the corresponding comment.
Review · Share
Resolve all comments
One click to mark every open comment as resolved. The button
lives next to the Comments header and stays grayed out when
there's nothing left to resolve.
Review
Timecode overlay on player
A live TC counter is burned over the bottom-left of the video —
black background, white monospace text, frame-accurate. Toggle
it on or off from the legend bar below the player. Visible to
both admin and client reviewers.

Color tags
Label your video cards — Draft, Final, WIP. Visual organization
without management overhead.
Google / Apple sign-in
One-click account creation. Less friction for new users, same
security.

Thinking it through
Interface localization
French, German, Spanish. We're weighing it against the
maintenance cost of keeping multiple languages accurate
long-term.
Never Building This
Not on the table. Ever.
Saying no is as important as shipping. These aren't features we're "considering later" — they contradict what RevCut is built to be.
